Warren County, Iowa The Spring 2012 Warren County Philanthropic Partnership (WCPP) Grant Application will be available on Thursday, January 12, 2012. To request an electronic version of the Fall 2011 WCPP Grant Application along with the instructions please email grantquestions4wcpp@gmail.com or visit the website at www.warrencountypp.org.

 

The WCPP Grant Deadline is Thursday, March 2, 2012. The original signed application and six copies need to be postmarked and mailed to Warren County Philanthropic Partnership, PO Box 218, Indianola, IA 50125 by the Thursday, March 2, 2012 deadline to be eligible.

 

Warren County Philanthropic Partnership is planning to host a Grant Writing Workshop on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Indianola Public Library. You must RSVP for this event and may do so by emailing your contact information to grantquestions4wcpp@gmail.com. Please include your name, organization, email address and phone number. 

The Warren County Philanthropic Partnership has distributed 155 in grants since inception in 2005 by offering an opportunity for non-profit organizations to apply for finishing dollars toward worthy projects in Warren County. WCPP has assisted with leveraging $6,525,112.99 in total project spending in Warren County, IA.

 

Warren County Philanthropic Partnership continues to work toward the betterment of Warren County along by offering a vehicle for local persons to give back to their local community be making a qualified donation to the WCPP Endowment and receive the 25% tax credit. Warren County, IowaThe Warren County Philanthropic Partnership was notified it will soon be receiving an $118,130 state award to advance community based philanthropy throughout Warren County.

The award comes by way of the County Endowment Fund which was established by HF 2302 in the 2004 Legislative Session.  The purpose of this legislation is to provide financial support to encourage the creation and development of community foundations and civic philanthropy throughout Iowa. Under terms of the legislation the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership will direct 75 percent of the award to foundation grantmaking activities and 25 percent will be placed in the Foundation’s permanent endowment. This allocation ratio provides the opportunity to assist local projects immediately as well as help build an endowment for the future of the county.

Since its establishment in 2004, the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership has awarded over $532,000 in grants to 141 county organizations and charities.  Together these awards have leveraged over $3,781,817.99 in new projects for Warren County.

The permanent endowment of Warren County Philanthropic Partnership is now $170,663.73.  We encourage local individuals and institutions to learn more about the benefits of working with our foundation. Visit our website for more information www.warrencountypp.com.
